Music Harvest’s Cultural Ambassadors are an outstanding group of cultural advocates who spread the ideals of Music Harvest through their name and fame. They extend and amplify Music Harvest’s work and mission and have generously accepted to use their talent and status to help focus the public’s attention on the work of Music Harvest. Through their careers and humanitarian commitment to date, they have already made an important contribution towards the objectives and aims that Music Harvest is working towards in the Middle East.
For over twenty five years, Nigel Kennedy has been acknowledged as one of the world’s leading violin virtuosos and is, without doubt, one of the most important violinists Britain has ever produced. His virtuoso technique, unique talent and mass appeal have brought fresh perspectives to both the classical and contemporary repertoire. He is the best selling classical violinist of all time.
Raymond Deane is one of Ireland’s most renowned and respected composers as well as a pianist, novelist, essayist and political activist. His works have been represented at the International Rostrum of Composers, the festival L’Imaginaire Irlandais, the ISCM World Music Days, and other international festivals. His works have been recorded for the Black Box and Marco Polo labels. He has been a member of Aosdána, Ireland’s state-sponsored academy of creative artists, since 1986.
